The initial consultation and bespoke ecological design costs £250. I prefer to conduct this via a personal site visit and in-depth conversation, though video consultations are available if preferred.
We will work out how to balance your preferred use of the space (beautiful flowers, harvesting food, kicking a ball around with your kids) and the nature that most speaks to you, whether you want to count birds or protect pollinators.
For site implementation and habitat creation, my rate is £200 per day (based on a standard 6-hour working block). To give you total financial peace of mind, we will agree on a fixed number of days in advance to complete the project. If the work requires extra time to meet my standards, that is on me—the price we agree on is the price you pay.
My goal is to work efficiently and precisely, establishing your new thriving habitat with minimal disruption to your home so nature can move in as quickly as possible.
What do you have already? I'll bird, moth trap, take a look at your plants. Then we can work on boosting what you already have, as well as adding what you want.
Has your garden got out of hand? You want a usable space you can enjoy, but don't want to lose biodiversity? Together we can plan your needs, identify core features and implement a compromise.
Somewhere calm and grounding. Noise abatement. Colours, smells and textures.
I am licensed to fell trees up to 35cm diameter, and conduct necessary work eg branch removal if deemed ecologically necessary, for instance to increase light levels in the understory.
Lawn = yawn. Add colour and life!
Pondlife! My academic studies focused on wetland habitats, and they have always had a central place in my heart. We can create a beautiful ecosystem including habitats for dragonflies and amphibians, as well as diverse planting with seasonal interest.
We can have seasonal refresher sessions where I teach you how to manage your habitats, from maintaining your pond to scything your meadow.
